Kitchen Lighting

Last May we decided to update the lights in our kitchen.   Gold colored fixtures are not my favorite, so we have been updating everything to a brushed nickle.  We are fortunate in our kitchen/dining area to have two skylights which add plenty of light in the day, so the little light fixtures were adequate on cloudy days.  At night, I like a lot of light, and the old fixtures didn't fill that need.

We decided we needed to add track lighting to more adequately shine light on different work stations in the kitchen.  While at Ikea we found these modern track lights, that were well within our budget for the lighting.

Don't they look wonderful! It's so nice to be able to have lights pointed to all the dark places in the kitchen.

It feels great to slowly make this house fit us, and feel like our home.
